LOGGERHEAD MARKER 1 MARINA – DUNEDIN, FL
Marina Replacement Project
KM2H served as the Prime Contractor, delivering turnkey project execution for the complete replacement of a 149-slip marina that sustained extensive damage during Hurricanes Idalia, Helene, and Milton.
The project included approximately 7,500 cubic yards of dredging, installation of 77 new steel pipe piles to support the marina’s floating dock system, and construction of 27,523 square feet of floating concrete docks, creating a modern, resilient marina layout.
As the turnkey contractor, KM2H managed and coordinated multiple MEP subcontractors responsible for installing new electric, water, sewer, fire protection, and Wi-Fi systems to support boat lifts, utility pedestals, and other marina amenities. The project also included all required upland utility connections, seamlessly integrating the new dock systems with the existing infrastructure.
Throughout construction, marina operations remained active, allowing the dry stack facility to continue serving customers with minimal disruption. KM2H implemented comprehensive traffic control and site safety measures to protect marina users, employees, and the public while maintaining efficient construction operations.
KM2H successfully completed the project in close collaboration with the Marina Management team and Owner, demonstrating its commitment to quality, efficiency, and safety while delivering resilient infrastructure that enhances the surrounding community. From marine construction and dredging to utility coordination and final commissioning, KM2H delivered a fully integrated marina replacement designed to provide long-term performance, reliability, and lasting value for both the Owner and marina users.
